{"id":804,"date":"2010-09-26T08:55:50","date_gmt":"2010-09-26T12:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/noelfigart.com\/blog\/?p=804"},"modified":"2010-09-26T08:55:50","modified_gmt":"2010-09-26T12:55:50","slug":"cruise-notes-day-two-at-sea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noelfigart.com\/wordpress\/2010\/09\/26\/cruise-notes-day-two-at-sea\/","title":{"rendered":"Cruise Notes: Day Two, at Sea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On\u00a0 Day Two, our first full day at sea, the swells were still in the 2.5 to 3m range, so we were finding that many of our fellow passengers were pretty seasick.\u00a0Neither Peter nor I were effected, which was something of a surprise.\u00a0 Both of us have been seasick before.\u00a0 Peter on a fishing boat and me back on my first cruise in quite flat seas.\u00a0 (Not, throwing up in\u00a0 my case, but certainly mildly queasy and not feeling like eating anything).<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0had breakfast at the Windjammer again, and were able to get a seat right in the bow.\u00a0 Since it was on Deck Nine, we started calling it Nine Forward.\u00a0 We sat there for breakfast and lunch almost every day.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Enchantment of the Seas<\/em> does have a library, so we snagged a couple of books and headed over to the solarium for some sunning, swimming, a drink and reading.\u00a0 But, the noise of the belly flop contest got us curious, so we had to go inspect it.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the thing about cruises &#8212; if you go prepared to play, you&#8217;ll have a great time.\u00a0 The cruise director for the <em>Enchantment of the Seas<\/em> is quite the party guy, so there were constant games, silly contests, good shows&#8230; you name it.\u00a0 He had a real sense of fun and theater as well as a talent for getting people to play along with him.<\/p>\n<p>After the belly flop contest, we hung out in the main pool.
